CHES Special Risk is offering tailored insurance solutions aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by tour operators.

The managing general agent (MGA) underscored the common risks seen within this space of the travel & tourism industry and said it has a package policy to help safeguard businesses as they arrange excursions for their customers.

According to Virginie Boucher, underwriter at CHES Solutions Spécialisées, CHES’ sister concern in Quebec, these operators could be impacted by unforeseen circumstances like customers falling ill due to recommended activities or accidents occurring during a tour.

“CHES Special Risk is here to ensure that the financial damages from such risks are minimized, letting tour operators continue their magical work,” said Boucher.

Considering these risks, CHES highlighted its package policy for tour operators, travel agencies, adventure tour operators, student tour operators, and other similar businesses.

Some coverage highlights include commercial general liability, errors and omissions, worldwide territory, reputation management, and first dollar defence.

“Tour operators play a pivotal role in the travel & tourism industry,” said Laurence Dube, vice president, CHES Solutions Spécialisées.

“We recognize the passion and dedication that goes into crafting exceptional travel experiences, which is why we have developed specialized insurance policies that perfectly align with the industry’s distinctive needs.”

Earlier this month, CHES brought attention to its professional liability team by highlighting its readiness to assist brokers with E&O and D&O risks in areas like spa and salon, medical malpractice, tour organizers, life sciences, cyber, product recall, and online gambling.
