In the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, states like Florida have been given a ton of criticism from the political left for not necessitating endless masking or imposing stringent lockdowns. Still Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says, “If I had a greenback for each and every lockdown politician who made the decision to escape to Florida about the last two years, I’d be a really doggone wealthy guy.”
DeSantis’ remarks were manufactured in reaction to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s modern vacation to Florida over the Christmas vacation. Countrywide Evaluate published shots of the Democrat congresswoman from New York sitting outside the house experiencing lunch with her boyfriend in Miami Seashore, Florida.
Previous Trump adviser Steve Cortes shared the picture on Twitter, writing, “If Leftists like AOC essentially believed mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in totally free FL.” He also took a jab at her boyfriend’s shoe choice, calling his sandals “hideous.”
How did the congresswoman respond?
“If Republicans are mad they simply cannot day me they can just say that alternatively of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s toes,” she tweeted, introducing, “Ya creepy weirdos.”
Ocasio-Cortez’s reaction still left several scratching their heads.
A couple times afterwards, Ocasio-Cortez was yet again witnessed maskless at a drag bar in Miami.
Florida’s Conservative Voice founder Brendon Leslie described the incident, tweeting, “For those people of you with zero perception of humor: the complete stage of this publish is to expose hypocrisy. We really do not essentially care she’s maskless. We treatment she fear mongers about Florida but then has the audacity to holiday vacation here.”
